First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pacolli part of meetings with high EU leaders in Brussels

Brussels, 17 Novermber 2017 – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, accompanied the Prime Minister of the Country, Ramush Haradinaj during the official visit in Brussels and the respective high-level meetings that took place today in the European capital.

He initially participated in the second meeting of the Stabilization and Association Council (SA Council) between the European Union and Kosovo, a meeting in which, inter alia, it was ascertained that the Stabilization and Association Agreement is at the core of the relations between the EU and Kosovo and that the same provides the contractual framework through which the EU and Kosovo intensify their co-operation.

After the meeting of the Stabilization and Association Council, the Foreign Minister Pacolli also attended the meeting with the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini.

During this meeting it was discussed on the progress of the process of meeting the European Reform Agenda; Kosovo's goal of achieving candidate status for EU membership by the end of 2018; the importance of concluding or expediting the visa liberalization process for the citizens of Kosovo, addressing the remaining criterion for the demarcation agreement with Montenegro and, inter alia, Kosovo's commitment to building good relations with all neighbouring countries, including Serbia.
