Minister of Foreign Affairs Pacolli was hosted in a meeting by President of Malta, Coleiro Preca and it is expected to be reached a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two countries

Valletta, 1 November, 2017 – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, during his official visit to Malta, was hosted at a special meeting by the President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.

In the framework of this meeting Deputy Prime Minister Pacolli, first conveyed the greetings to the President of this country on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, and thanked for the consistent support that the state of Malta has provided to Kosovo through all the important processes that our country has passed through.

Furthermore, Deputy Prime Minister Pacolli asked that such support to continue, in particular regarding the membership of our country in the Council of Europe, Interpol, UNESCO and other organizations and to provide support for strengthening Kosovo's international legitimacy by increasing the number of recognitions for the state of Kosovo.

Speaking about Kosovo's membership in international organizations, President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca said that Malta has consistently supported Kosovo and will continue to do so in the future.

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli and the President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca praised the friendly relations between the two countries and the two nations, and discussed about signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries in areas that will be of mutual interest to both countries and will include education and other matters.
