Deputy Prime Minister Pacolli meets Turkey's Prime Minister Yildrim, as Kosovo and Turkey will deepen bilateral relations

Prishtina, 27 October 2017 – At the conclusion of his visit to Turkey, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, also met with Prime Minister of Turkey, Binali Yildrim.

In the framework of this meeting, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, thanked Prime Minister Yildrim for the strong support Turkey has given and will give to Kosovo in the process of recognition and membership in international organizations and for the determination to further deepen the economic cooperation, as well as for the increase of investments in Kosovo.

On this occasion, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, has conveyed to the Prime Minister Yildrim the invitation to visit Kosovo at an appropriate time, as this invitation was received with pleasure by Prime Minister Yildrim. Foreign Minister Pacolli has also conveyed through Prime Minister Yildrim a similar invitation to the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for a visit that is expected to take place in the near future.

During this very friendly meeting, both interlocutors praised the excellent relations between the two countries and the two nations, expressing the two-sided dedication and commitment to focus and deepen further such relations. Earlier in the day, he also met with Turkey's Economic Development Minister Lütfi Elvan and jointly opened the Kosovo-Turkey Business Forum, with the presence of many companies from both Turkish and Kosovo side. Since he was appointed to this position, this is the first visit to Turkey of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli.
