Foreign Minister Pacolli: Kuwait ready to invest in Kosovo, the Economic Forum next year

Prishtina, 5 October 2017 – The State of Kuwait is ready to increase investment in Kosovo and therefore concrete projects will be developed, and next year shall be organised an economic forum between the two countries, to take place in Kuwait.

With the aim of intensifying bilateral cooperation in all fields, but with a special focus on political coordination issues and the deepening of economic cooperation, Kosovo, in early next year, is expected to accredit its Ambassador to Kuwait.

This was announced upon the reception, by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kuwait to Albania, who is also accredited as a non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo, H.E Mr. Fayez Mishari Al-Jassim.

During this meeting, Ambassador Fayez Mishari Al-Jassim congratulated the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, upon taking the Office, and upon the new Government, by reconfirming the great support from State and people of Kuwaiti to Kosovo and by expressing an interest in deepening and expanding cooperation, especially in political issues, and in investments.

On his part, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pacolli extended his gratitude to Ambassador Fayez Mishari Al-Jassim for the support from State and people of Kuwait provided to Kosovo up-to-date, expressing his readiness and of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for establishment of new synergies between the two countries and their people.

With regards to investment projects from the State of Kuwait, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pacolli stressed that the food and tourism industry are likely to be attractive sectors for investment funds from the State of Kuwait or from particular companies engaged in such sectors.
