First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pacolli strongly condemns cowardly attack in Edmonton, Canada

Prishtina, 1 October 2017 – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, expresses his deep concern and strongly condemns the cowardly attack in Edmonton, Canada, injuring one police officer and several other people.

“I am deeply shocked by this cowardly attack in Edmonton, Canada, leaving behind one injured police officer and several other people. We are all aware that Canada's power stems from the diversity of its society and, as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said, we should not allow violent extremism to create partition or arouse fear within society and communities we live in. We pray that all the wounded, who were victims of this act of violence, to recover as quickly as possible. Kosovo and its people stand with the Canadian people and institutions," stated First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli
