The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pacolli met his counterpart from Brunei Darussalam, aiming to deepen economic co-operation

New York, 21 September 2017 – The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, in the premises of the Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in New York, hosted in a bilateral meeting his counterpart from Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency, Pehin Dato Lim Jock Seng.

On this occasion, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, expressed profound appreciation to his counterpart for the recognition of Kosovo, the friendship offered, as well as the respect and openness to deepen cooperation between the two countries, and between the two peoples.

In this regard, he emphasized his willingness, and that of the Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, to expand cooperation between the two countries, with particular focus on the field of economy and trade.

"We are interested to organize an Economic and Investment Forum in Brunei in order to promote our country as a destination for Brunei’s business community. Kosovo and Brunei should seek the signing of the Investment Protection Agreement in both respective countries, as well as the Agreement to avoid double taxation. When it comes to a friendly state, geographical distance is of little importance. The strategic position of this country has a lot to offer" stated the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet PACOLLI.

During the meeting, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet PACOLLI, urged Brunei Darussalam to continue its support to the full membership of the Republic of Kosovo in the International Community.
