First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs met the leader of Opposition Basha and former Prime Minister BerishaFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet PACOLLI, within its visit in the Republic of Albania, in addition to the meeting with institutional leaders, met also the President of the Democratic Party and at the same time the leader of Opposition, Mr. Lulzim Basha, as well as former Prime Minister Mr. Sali Berisha.
During these meetings, they discussed about the progress achieved in relations between our countries, as well as intensification of new efforts from both sides to further advance the strengthening of relations.
The President of Democratic Party, Mr. Lulzim Basha, expressed his satisfaction about the meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet PACOLLI, and expressed the willingness to contribute in all processes which Kosovo is going through.
Mr. Basha also stated the need for deepening economic cooperation between Kosovo and Albania, as well as requested the removal of trade barriers, as well as facilitation of border movements.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, during the meetings with the leader of Democratic Party, supported the idea of deepening the economic cooperation by establishing the joint customs points, as that in Durres, as well as facilitating the free movement of nationals in both sides.
In the meantime, during the meeting with the former Prime Minister Berisha, the latter wished success to the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Pacolli, for the new position, expressing his conviction that he and his government will succeed, especially in the field of recognitions, in which, according to him, there has been a stagnation during the last two years.
“Recognitions are important for the international subjectivity of Kosovo, especially for the governing to respect agreements. Agreements in the internal and regional level should be respected. Republic of Kosovo benefits from agreements. Both interlocutors agreed on the importance of the economic cooperation without barriers between both countries and the railway as link of Kosovo economy with ports.
