A Memorandum Understanding for Training of Diplomats and Exchanges of Experiences between Kosovo and Thailand, signed

Prishtina, 4 September 2017 - Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo and their counterparts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand have signed, on Monday, a Memorandum of Understanding promoting closer cooperation in training of diplomats and exchange of experiences on issues of common concern, this way opening up new cooperation windows between the two countries.

This Memorandum was signed by General Director of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Ambassador Beqir Ismaili and the dean of the Foreign Relations Institute - Devawongse Varopakarn, Ambassador Nongnuth Phetcharatana.

In addition to signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, the Thai delegation, accompanied by Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary, Jakkrit Srival, was also received at a separate meeting by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fitim Sadiku, whereby discussed on further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in other areas.

Following the bilateral meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Thai delegation paid a visit to the Kosovo Museum, and afterwards the delegation was received to a working lunch with the acting Minister for Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Edita Tahiri, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the afternoon, the Thai delegation headed to a visit to the city of Prizren, whereby they shall be hosted by Prizren municipality leaders.
