MFA strongly condemns the act of violent removal of Turkish flags in Prizren

Prishtina, 17 February 2017 - Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo strongly condemns the act of violent removal of the flags of the Republic of Turkey in Prizren, by calling it a vandal act committed by irresponsible people, whose purpose is to damage the democratic and multi-ethnic state of Kosovo.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges those responsible to be brought to justice and be held accountable for their irresponsible and harmful actions.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj communicated with the Turkish Ambassador in Prishtina, and strongly condemned the act.

“Relations between Kosovo and Turkey are excellent and as such they will not be harmed and deteriorated from the isolated vandal act from persons who do not want the best for Kosovo and our friendly relations with Turkey", stated Minister Hoxhaj.
