Minister Hyseni and the Foreign Minister of Slovenia sign bilateral Cooperation Agreement

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Skender Hyseni, today met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Samuel Žbogar. During the meeting, Ministers Hyseni and Žbogar shared their respective opinions on relations between the two countries, which they consider to be excellent.

During the meeting, Minister Hyseni summarized Kosovo’s progress achieved after independence, as well as mentioning the process of recognition and its development. Minister Žbogar expressed the support of his country for Kosovo, in all aspects, with special emphasis on the future strengthening of economic relations.

After the meeting, Ministers Hyseni and Žbogar, in the presence of the media signed a bilateral cooperation agreement.

The goals of the agreement, amongst others, are the promotion of investment; the promotion of economic development; supporting administrative and scientific capacities through scholarships, training, participation in joint projects and other similar activities.

In addition, within the framework of development cooperation, the Republic of Slovenia will offer the Republic of Kosovo development assistance as defined by the values of the projects being planned. For this reason, the agreement in question, foresees the creation of a joint committee, responsible for proposing priorities, programs and projects in development cooperation.
