The Republic of Palau recognizes Kosovo

Today the Charge d’ Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Washington, Mr. Avni Spahiu, has received a letter sent by H.E. Mr. Johnson Toribiong, the President of the Republic of Palau, addressed to H.E. Mr. Fatmir Sejdiu, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, hereby it is confirmed that the Republic of Palau has recognized Kosovo as an independent and sovereign country.

The President Toribiong, who is officially visiting the United States, has responded positively to the official request of the President Sejdiu to recognize Kosovo as independent and sovereign country. The Republic of Palau is the 56th country to recognize Kosovo’s independence and sovereignty.
