The skier from Kosovo will participate in the Winter Olympics

Prishtina, 3 November 2017 - Albin Tahiri is the only skier so far to have won the Olympic norm for Kosovo. Kosovo skier Albin Tahiri has achieved his great goal to win the Olympic norm in five different disciplines for the Winter Olympics "PyeongChang 2018".

Kosovo will write its history by debuting in these Games. Tahiri is the only skier so far that has won the Olympic norm for Kosovo, reports the Olympic Committee of Kosovo. The Winter Olympics will be held from 9 to 26 February of next year. "My goal, for now, was to win the norm in the fifth discipline and to represent Kosovo in five disciplines, for what I am very happy.

My goals are now getting the best result possible at 'PyeongChang 2018'. The competitors are really tough, but in spite of that, I want to make Kosovo be proud of me and not disappoint it," said Tahiri for the KOC official website, "noc-kosovo.org", conveys albinfo.ch.

The 28-year-old has won the Olympic norm in other disciplines such as: slalom, giant slalom, super giant slalom and downhill. Days before, Tahiri was preparing at the Austrian skiing center, "Molltaler Gletcher".
