Dua Lipa wins the award for contribution to music

Prishtina, 18 October 2017- The world-famous Kosovar singer, Dua Lipa, was honoured with an "Ascap Vanguard" award for her influence on music.

Lipa enjoyed great success and became a sensation of pop music with the song "New Rules" which was recently launched.

"I’m so honoured to win this award among the artists I admire so much", said Dua Lipa.

Also the band "The Amazons" won the award for contribution to music.

The "ASCAP" Ceremony is held annually and is presented by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers for the sake of "influencing the new musical genres and their development".

This ceremony was held for the first time in 1996.
