Film "Martesa" from Blerta Zeqiri, with world premiere in EstoniaPrishtina, 27 September 2017 – The first feature film from Mrs. Zeqiri will participate in the official competition of Tallinn Film Festival, to be screened in 28 November of this year.
This was made public in a part of the official program of Tallin Film Festival of Estonia, including here the film “Martesa” of the director who won the award for the best international short film in the greatest film festival in USA – Sundance.
"I am very happy for a 5-year work crowned with a premiere in such a festival. It is a happy, and at the same time a bit sad moment for me because it is a kind of separation as from now on the film “Martesa” will begin its journey around the world, while I will start a new film project” stated Mrs. Zeqiri, who begun the work in this project – being her first feature film – 5 years ago.
Film “Martesa,” which was financially supported by Kosovo Cinematography Centre (KCC), talks about a triangle of love during and after a marriage. The trio of the main characters of the film with the screenplay of Blerta Zeqiri and Keka Kreshnik Berisha is interpreted by Alban Ukaj, Adriana Matoshi and Genc Salihu.
Except KCC, “Martesa” was also supported by Albanian National Centre of Cinematography, as a project with a minority funding. Tallinn Film Festival, where the co-production between Kosovo and Albania is to be screened on 28, is among 15 competitive festivals of Category A, according to the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAFP), and this is the third feature film supported by KCC, which has the world premiere in a festival of Category A this year.
