Five students are representing Kosovo in the largest robotics competition in the US

Prishtina, 17 July 2017 - In the US has started the largest international competition in robotics, FIRST Global Challenge. Five high school students are representing Kosovo in this important competition.

Kosovo high school students Elita Hajrizi, Liburn Bajraktari, Flokart Pajaziti, Gezim Morina and Rigon Statovci, under the tutelage of UBT's Rector, Edmond Hajrizi, are now presenting their skills in the field of robotics. Part of this race are young people from 164 different countries around the world, who will challenge each other through designing and programming of a robot, for the construction of which are needed skills and ideas, and creativity in the field of science, technology , engineering and mathematics. FIRST Global is a contest that inspires young people to obtain the skills they need for inventions, which their parents and grandparents would consider as miracles, impossible things or fictitious scientific plans. It also aims, through their participation in this international competition, to build bridges between high school students, with different backgrounds, languages, religions and customs.
