Mezzo-soprano singer Flaka Goranci, presented pearls of Albanian music in Zurich

Prishtina, 9 December 2015 – Upon successful promotions in Austria, Albania and Kosovo, the next was exactly Zurich, which was chosen by Kosovan mezzo-soprano singer to promote her first international CD with Albanian songs titled “Albanian Flowers”. Despite information that along with her will be the entire ensemble “Dielli”, Flaka, was accompanied only with ensemble pianist, Menan Berveniku, handicap that did not shadowed the excellence of this concert.

With a selected audience, unfortunately small in number, in the White Room of Volkshaus in Zurich, Flaka, disclosed pearls of Albanian music arranged by Kushtrim Gashi. While performing songs from various areas of Albania and Kosovo, as the singer noted, travelling in various areas makes that the audience applauded for what they hear. Flaka, on this occasion stressed that she is very satisfied with demands for this album, especially from non-Albanian audience. The aim was to induce the curiosity of foreign audience towards Albanian music. Born and grown up in Gjakova, given that was witnessed the war horrors during 1998-1999, this experience, no doubt, part of the album “Albanian Flowers”. By song “Ma fal atë buzëqeshje”, that mezzo-soprano singer Goranci sang unaccompanied, or, as she said, it was made a Lamento- lamentation, as commemoration to late singer Esat Bicurri, from Gjakova, who sang this song, who was war victim.
