Festive concert at the Saint Ignatius Loyola basilica in Rome
Roma, December 13, 2011 - On Wednesday, December 13, in the environments of the Church of Saint Ignatius Loyola, a part of the Jesuit order facility in the historical part of Rome, a classical music concert was held, organized under the stewardship of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Rome.
The interpretation came from trio of the young musicians from Kosovo and Albania: Artemida Qarri, piano forte, Ardiana Bytyqi, meso soprano and Adorel Haxhiaj, violoncello.
Parts from the classical era repertoire of the year-end holidays were interpreted but also parts of the Albanian classical music repertoire such as: Margello, Agimet, Rondo, Adetes Fideles, Nina- Nana, etc.
The concert was opened by the Kosovos ambassador to Rome, Albert Prenkaj, wishing the participants happy year-end holidays and a pleasant cultural evening on the original tones coming from the very heart of Kosovo.
The concert was attended by representatives of the diplomatic core accredited at Quirinale (the Italian state) before the Holy See as well as by friends of the Embassy who attended and applauded and gave cheerful ovations on the interpretations of the brilliant trio.
Following the concert, guests were distributed the 2012 Calendar of our Embassy, a calendar which promotes the artistic value of Kosovar, Albanian and foreign painters who have presented original motifs. It is worth mentioning that the 2012 Calendar of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Rome has been prepared thanking the donation of the great friend of Kosovo, Mr. Vito Grittani.
