Photo dialogue exhibition opens: lives 9300 km apart

Prishtina, 9 November 2011 - 30 young students from Japan are participating in a photographic exhibition, "Kosovo + Japan: Photo Dialogue 9300km" which opens tomorrow in Prishtina.

This exhibition was conceived out of a photographic competition with the aim of facilitating exchange and reciprocal recognition between the two peoples, who live about 9300 km apart from each other.

The exhibition was first opened in Tokyo in the Tokyo Midtown Design Hub Gallery comprising photographs from 30 Kosovar students who study in Japan, trying to present daily life, youth, the future, scenes from different towns of Kosovo and other aspects of everyday living.

The exhibition of Japanese students’ photographs will open on November 10 until November 13 in the exhibition space “Tetris” in Prishtina.

Besides the exhibition, there will also be various workshops which will address artistic and cultural issues as part of an exchange between the two peoples and countries.

This exhibition is sponsored by the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Japan and the Japanese Embassy in Austria.
