Hoxhaj: Decisions of the Government in the north shall be implemented in full

Pristina, August 8, 2011 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, in an interview for the German radio Deutschlandfunk said that after 12 years the Government of Kosovo has managed to exercise control in the north of the country and in preventing smuggling.

On this event Minister Hoxhaj expressed the full commitment of the Government in stabilizing the situation and fully standing by its legitimate decisions.

“We are committed that the situation in the north be calm by all means, and at the same time the Government of the Republic of Kosovo shall be fully implemented and we have a situation as in all other countries of Europe”, stated Hoxhaj.

With regard to the recent events in the north of the country, Hoxhaj has made the criminal gangs of the part responsible for the violent acts which recently took place there.

“We are dealing here with criminal group which in the past 12 years have controlled the smuggling in the north. After 12 years the Government of Kosovo has managed to exercise control in the north of the country and in preventing smuggling” stated Hoxhaj.

On the positions of the Serbian leader, Hoxhaj stated that if you listen at the politicians in Belgrade one does not known at what time are we living in; in 1991 or in 2011.

“We do not believe that the region is before a new conflict, but the European diplomacy should exercise more pressure on Serbia and should use a tougher language on them” stated Minister Hoxhaj.
