What do you do, where are you based?

I am Consul General of the Republic of Kosovo in Strasbourg and I am responsible for the region of Alsace in France. Apart from covering the region of Alsace for all consular issues I am also entrusted to cover the cooperation between Republic of Kosovo and Council of Europe. In fact I am entrusted to prepare Kosovo in becoming a full member of the Council of Europe.

What is the most you like about the job you do?

There are many things that I like but I would like to point out the fact that I am first ever head of mission in Strasbourg and that I have had the responsibility and also the privilege to set up the mission from zero. So, I think that by being the first ever Kosovo diplomat in Strasbourg I have had an historic opportunity to create e new mission and leave a legacy that other diplomats will follow through the building that we have leased in the most famous diplomatic avenue, contacts that we have set up and also work that we have done with local authorities and the Council of Europe. Also, what I like about my job is that everything I do in relation to the Council of Europe is for the first time and in a way that is something makes this job very challenging but also rewarding. During my mandate we have been able to have Kosovo become a full member of the Council of Europe Development Bank and Venice Commission.
